This is one we’ll never forget. The incomparable Bill Walton joined his old broadcast partner Tom Tolbert, along with Larry Krueger and Rod Brooks on Friday afternoon, for one of the most incredible interviews ever to have touched the KNBR airwaves.
Interview is a loose term, considering only three questions were asked during the 35 minute soliloquy that was only halted when Walton asked Tolbert, “Tom, are you still there?” This was followed by Tolbert responding, “How are you Bill?”
