The Warriors were supposed to play a game at Chase Center without fans on Thursday night. Turns out that won’t happen, as the NBA season was suspended on Wednesday evening after Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus.
Following the news, Stephen Curry took to Twitter to make a statement, saying that now is the time to take care of ourselves and those around us.
2020 aint it. Don't know what to compare this situation to…just gotta buckle up and take care of yourself and those around you. Basketball will be back at some point but right now, protect yourself and stay safe out there!

Curry also pointed out that depending on whether or not the NBA season resumes, 43-year-old Vince Carter may have played his final NBA game last night.
Hopefully not the last time we see you on the court VC but this is dope! #vinsanity https://t.co/7L8Q5fGUoz

It is unclear how long the NBA will be out of commission, but according to Sport’s Illustrated’s Chris Mannix, there is not a lot of optimism it will resume.
