Draymond Green on the recent TNT criticism: “(Charles) Barkley should stop before I take his job. Because I can do that well, too…He also can’t talk basketball with me either. Not smart enough, not qualified. No rings, can’t sit at this table.” pic.twitter.com/AmGw6jZidE

Ah, the old Draymond Green-Charles Barkley beef. It was never gone, folks, just in hibernation. The ongoing hostilities between the two seem to have started back in 2018, when Barkley said he wanted to punch Green in the face.
Green then encouraged Barkley to do so, otherwise, stop talking.
“If he feel that strongly about it, then punch me in the face when you see me,” Green said. “If you not gonna punch me in my face when you see me, then shut up.”

Things mostly subsided, apart from earlier this year, when Green was asked about Barkley saying the Warriors would not make the playoffs this season.
Green shook his head, saying, “I don’t really listen to anything he says.”
But Barkley can’t help himself. He poked fun at Green on February 27th, saying of Green, who got ejected after 10 minutes:
“He had his normal triple-single,” Barkley said during. “He talk all that stuff when he got them other boys with him? No, man. He talks all that stuff when he’s got them other boys with him. Now he’s out there and gotta fight for himself and he just don’t wanna play.”

Green had yet to respond, until he was asked about Barkley on Friday, after Warriors’ practice. He laid out a pretty clear threat to Barkley: stop talking, or I’ll take your job.
“Barkley should stop before I go take his job, though, because I can do that well, too,” Green said. “He already didn’t make enough money playing, so he need that job, he should stop talking to me. I have a tendency to end people, so he should stop before I should take his job.”
“Not soon though, right?” a reporter asked.
“If he keep talking, I’ll take it sooner than he thinks,” Green said. “He probably should be quiet. He also can’t talk basketball. Not smart enough, not qualified, no rings, can’t sit at this table.”
