Stephen Curry will not return to the court on Sunday after all.
Despite March 1 being set as the target date for some time, Curry is not ready according to a statement released by the Warriors on Saturday morning.
The statement said that Curry “remains on schedule for a return to play at some point in March.” He is scheduled to practice with the Santa Cruz Warriors on Monday. Anthony Slater of The Athletic said there is basically “zero” chance that Curry would play in Golden State’s following game next Tuesday in the high altitude of Denver, and that next Thursday at home vs. the Raptors is the “next possibility.”
Curry has been on the shelf for nearly four months with a broken left hand sustained on October 30 vs. the Suns. Curry admitted last week that he is still experiencing never damage in the left hand.
