On Wednesday, President Donald Trump mocked Warriors head coach Steve Kerr during a press conference, over Kerr’s decision not to answer a question about the ongoing conflict between the NBA and China.
“I watch this guy Steve Kerr and he was like a little boy who was scared to be even answering the question,” Trump said during a press conference. “He couldn’t answer the question, he was shaking. (imitating Kerr) ‘Ohh, I don’t know, I don’t know.’ He didn’t know how to answer the question, and yet he’ll talk about the United States very badly.
After Kerr gave a thoughtful response to Trump’s criticism on Thursday, the president was at it again, firing off a tweet Friday night directed at Kerr. Trump misspelled the word “choked” in the tweet.
So funny to watch Steve Kerr grovel and pander when asked a simple question about China. He chocked, and looks weak and pathetic. Don’t want him at the White House!

Here’s what Kerr said during his pregame presser on Thursday:
“I realize the horse was out of the barn a long time ago,” Kerr said Thursday. “But for me personally, this was my experience with, wow, has the office sunken low. My hope is that we can find a mature unifier, from either party, to sit in that chair and try to restore some dignity to the Oval Office again. And I think it will happen.”
