College Football grudges die hard, ladies and gentlemen.
Monday night the San Francisco 49ers played host to Baker Mayfield and his Cleveland Browns. The 49ers front seven was in the backfield early and often – scratch that – Nick Bosa was in the backfield early and often.
In the first half of the game Bosa registered a sack, two tackles for a loss and four quarterback hits against Mayfield. Bosa didn’t need any extra motivation for Monday’s game, a Monday Night matchup against two teams with playoff aspirations, but he had some.
Back in 2017 after Mayfield’s Oklahoma Sooners beat Bosa’s Ohio State Buckeyes the Oklahoma quarterback took a big Oklahoma flag, ran to midfield and planted it on Ohio State’s logo.
Nick Bosa apparently didn’t take kindly to this.
Late in the second quarter after forcing Mayfield into an incompletion Bosa got up and mimed waving and planting a flag in the field.
Just incredible.
