The once-young Warriors core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green lives on. After Klay Thompson agreed to a five-year, $190 million maximum contract earlier this summer, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported on Saturday that Green, with one year left on his deal, had agreed to a four-year, $100 million extension with the Warriors, avoiding free agency next summer.

The deal, according to Wojnarowski, will pay Green $22.2 million, $24 million, $25.8 million and $27.8 million over the next four years, respectively, and gives the Warriors four max players on the roster after the team acquired guard D’Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade deal earlier this summer which sent Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn nets.

The moves cements the Warriors’ new core, at least for the time being, as Curry, Thompson, Russell, Green (and Kevon Looney). Green averaged 7.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists last season, shooting 44.5 percent from the field, a career second-lowest 28.5 percent from three, and 69.2 percent from the free throw line. Those stats (except for three percentage) increased massively in the playoffs to 13.3 points, 10.1 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game on 49.8 percent shooting from the field, 22.8 percent from three, and 71.8 percent from the line.

Here’s what the Warriors’ contract situation looks like next year (Curry is locked up through 2022, Russell through 2023, and Thompson and Green through 2024):
