The magic continued on Friday for the San Francisco Giants. The Orange and Black made it seven in a row after Mets left fielder Dom Smith dropped what looked to be a routine fly ball in the bottom of the 10th inning. The error allowed Alex Dickerson, who was running hard with two outs, to score from first base.
The run broke a scoreless tie after impressive starts from the Giants’ Tyler Beede and the Mets’ Jacob DeGrom. The Giants have now won 14 of their last 16 and hold a .500 record at 49-49. They currently sit two games back of the second NL wild card spot.
