Jordan Bell pens heartfelt goodbye to Warriors

Jordan Bell’s two years with the Warriors weren’t always the prettiest. Bell often frustrated with his sometimes questionable decision-making coupled with the knowledge that he had and maybe still has, potential to be a very good player. Still, he played some important minutes for the team and got himself a ring in the 2017-18 season.

The Warriors tendered a $1.8 million offer to Bell to make him a restricted free agent, yet it was always assumed Bell would only return at that number and the Warriors would not match anything higher. Once the team traded for D’Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade deal, it left the Warriors with very little room under the apron to make moves, and the chances of the Warriors matching what Bell was offered with the Minnesota Timberwolves became nonexistent.

Before Bell begins the new stage of his career in the Midwest, he said goodbye to the Warriors on Instagram, writing the following:

My time with the Golden State Warriors was probably one of the biggest chapters of my life thus far. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I had to be apart of this organization. I couldn’t have asked for a better team (teammates, front office, and everyone in between). Thank you! To the YAY AREA, thank you for showing me nothing but love during my time in the Bay. As I begin my new chapter, I will never forget my time here. Thank you Dubnation!
