Former Giants outfielder Angel Pagan and former Mets pitcher Orlando Roman were rescued at sea off the coast of Puerto Rico Tuesday morning, according to Latin American baseball news site Con Las Bases Llenas.

According to authorities, the men were rescued at 7:09 AM after a 15-foot wave caused their boat to capsize near the Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, nearly an hour away from San Juan. The two were accompanied by a minor according to the report.

Pagan appears to be unscathed from the incident, but Roman had to receive medical assistance from head trauma, according to Telemundo.

Pagan, 37, played for the Giants from 2012 to 2016. Pagan hasn’t officially retired from professional baseball, but remains unsigned after announcing he’d sit out the 2017 season.

Roman, 40, was drafted by the Mets in the 31st round of the MLB Draft in 1999, but never made it past Triple-A. He pitched in the minor league systems of the Baltimore Orioles in 2007 and the Toronto Blue Jays in 2008. Román also pitched for the Pericos de Puebla of the Mexican League in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Both players were born and raised in Puerto Rico.
