The Warriors coaches really didn’t want to go to Charlotte for next weekend’s All-Star game, and Stephen Curry caught them red handed.
Curry posted a video of the Warriors assistant coaches and owner Joe Lacob intently watching the end of the Nuggets-Timberwolves game, a game that if the Nuggets won would give them the first seed in the league, and therefore the job of coaching the All-Star Game. Denver ended up winning 107-106.
Curry joked that they were watching like it was, “Game 7 of the Finals.”
Head coach Steve Kerr was similarly interested in the result of the Nuggets game, asking reporter Anthony Slater for a score update multiple times during his presser.
