Klay Thompson (52 PTS) ERUPTS for the @warriors, knocking down an #NBA RECORD 14 3-pointers! #DubNation #KiaTipOff18 pic.twitter.com/8ZWIVd8HBt

This is ridiculous.
After tying the NBA record for 3-pointers made in a half by dropping 10 in the first two quarters against the Bulls Monday night, Klay Thompson outdid himself in the third quarter. After cutting his forehead and donning a headband for the first time, Thompson set the NBA record for 3-pointers in a game, making 14 before the quarter ended. The 14 makes breaks the previous record of 13 set by, you guessed it, teammate Stephen Curry.
Thompson’s night was done shortly after, as he headed to the locker room, likely to get further treatment on his cut. Klay finished the game with an absurd line of 52 points in 27 minutes, on 18-29 shooting, while going 14-24 from deep. This is the third time in a seven day span that the Warriors have had a player score more than 40 points.
