Brandon Crawford’s insane month of May continued during Tuesday’s game vs. the Astros, when the Giants shortstop hit a two-run jack in the top of the fifth inning. It’s one Crawford will likely remember for a long time, considering it came off Houston starter Gerrit Cole, one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, who also happens to be the husband of his sister Amy Crawford.
A home run by Crawford into the Crawford boxes at Minute Maid Park…against his brother-in-law. Sounds good to us, @bcraw35

After the game, Cole had “a little fun with it,” and sent Crawford his game-worn cleats with the message “Outta here,” and “Audios, pelota,” a nod to Giants broadcaster Jon Miller’s home run calls.
Gerrit Cole signed the pair of cleats he wore tonight and sent them over to brother-in-law Brandon Crawford. On one shoe he wrote "Outta here” and on the other he wrote "Adios, pelota."
"I try to have a little fun with it," Cole said.
