Brandon Belt went on a tear this past week, producing a 444/.500/.1.074 slash line. He led the National League with five homers, eight runs, and 29 total bases. The Giants went 4-3 during the seven-game homestand.

He was named the National League Player of the Week as a result.

Belt is enjoying the most productive offensive season of his eight-year career after 48 games. He leads all MLB first basemen with a 1.006 OPS. He ranks second in average (.313), on-base percentage (.413), runs (28), and homers (11).

Belt capped a prolific week with a three-run, 408-foot homer to turn a tie with the Colorado Rockies into an 8-5 lead. He went 2-4 with two runs in Sunday’s 9-5 win.

Belt is a major reason why the Giants (24-24) have remained afloat amid one injury after the next. He looks primed for his second-career All-Star appearance.

The Giants first baseman will look to continue his hot hitting as the Giants hit the road for eight consecutive games.
