The 49ers are scheduled to visit with free-agent defensive tackle Terrell McClain on Monday, according to Matt Maiocco and Ian Rapoport.
After spending time with the #Dolphins last week, free agent DT Terrell McClain is visiting the #49ers today, source said. Would be a solid late free agency add.

McClain, 29, was a third-round draft pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2011 out of the University of South Florida, and has spent time with five teams over the previous seven seasons. McClain’s (6-foot-2, 302 pounds) most successful stint came during his time with the Cowboys in 2014-2016, when he started 15 games, leading to a four-year contract with the Redskins last offseason.
2017 did not go exactly as planned for McClain, who was quickly passed up on the depth chart as the team’s starting nose tackle by Stacy McGee, and was graded as the 120nd most effective interior defensive lineman out of 122 qualifying NFL players by Pro Football Focus. McClain was released by Washington this offseason.
