Over the weekend the 49ers signed a Seahawks cornerback. On Wednesday they are reportedly visiting with another one.
Richard Sherman’s former teammate DeShawn Shead was cut by Seattle on Monday, and will visit the 49ers facility on Wednesday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Shead is reportedly visiting the Lions today.

Like Sherman, Shead, 28, is a big cornerback (6-foot-2, 212 lbs) that fits the profile of what the 49ers are looking for. Shead joined the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Portland State in 2012, and has been with the team until he release this week.
Shead spend most of last season on the physically able to perform list after tearing his ACL during the 2016-17 playoffs. That season, Shead started 15 games for the Seahawks, picking off one pass and making 56 tackles. Shead’s most recent deal with the Seahawks was worth one year, $1.5 million
