The rookie exited the game via wheelchair, after landing awkwardly on his ankle attempting to block a Robin Lopez dunk. It was originally reported that the injury was nothing more than a bad sprain, but Steve Kerr said following an MRI on Thursday that it was actually a bone bruise. On Friday, the Warriors released an official timetable for Bell’s return, saying that he will be out for two weeks before being re-evaluated, as he deals with inflammation.
Bell was reportedly wearing a walking boot at the team’s shoot around on Friday.

Jordan Bell was out of a walking boot, limping around practice today. But again: Re-evaluated in two weeks.

Bell has made an immediate impact with the Warriors in his first NBA season, averaging 14.4 minutes per game, and even cracking the starting lineup in games where Kerr feels he presents a matchup advantage. Bell sustaining the injury against the Bulls was especially unfortunate, as he looked to have an impressive performance against the team that traded him to the Warriors for cash during last year’s NBA Draft.
