It appears we now have an answer to where recently acquired outfielder Andrew McCutchen will play in AT&T Park.
McCutchen will be in centerfield as he has for much of his career, and will instead play a corner outfield spot — likely right field — according to reports from Buster Olney and Alex Pavlovic.
Andrew McCutchen has been told he’ll play a corner spot with the Giants this season.

Yep, during trade talks they had been planning to play him in right. https://t.co/Cmw7L5uLmT

McCutchen, 31, has been an everyday centerfielder for his entire pro career, but is better suited at his current age to play in what is one of the trickier right fields in baseball. Hunter Pence struggled mightily playing RF for the Giants last year, and is expected to move to left. What the Giants will do in center is still up in the air, but there is at least a possibility that they will use a platoon of in house options, including rookie Steven Duggar.
McCutchen won one Gold Glove playing in centerfield for the Pirates in 2012. McCutchen played in just 13 games in right field last season, but had a perfect fielding percentage in those games.
