OAKLAND–The Warriors couldn’t wait to have their four All-Stars back on the floor together for the first time in three weeks, but if they want to watch all four play a full game, they’ll need to wait until 2018.
After Warriors’ point guard Steph Curry returned from an 11-game absence due to an ankle injury, Golden State had its Opening Night lineup intact for the first time since the beginning of the month. However, that lineup didn’t even stick together for 15 minutes, as forward Draymond Green was ejected from Saturday evening’s game after picking up two technical fouls early in the second quarter.
Green was whistled for his first technical foul after arguing a foul call at the 10;32 mark of the second quarter, and then received his second technical at the 9:45 mark after arguing after disputing another foul call.
Green now leads the NBA with 10 technicals, taking sole possession of the lead after entering the night tied with teammate Kevin Durant and New Orleans’ center DeMarcus Cousins, who each have eight.
It appeared as though the whistles came quickly for Green, who’s on the record as being frustrated with the way NBA officials have treated him due to his reputation.
