Juszczyk returns, but Trent Brown likely out for the 49ers in Philly

It appears the 49ers will get fullback Kyle Juszczyk back for the first time in two games, and they may need their free-agent fullback. With heavy rain forecast in Philadelphia, having a lead fullback to instigate the run game could be essential. Juszczyk has been out with a back injury.

However, the 49ers could be hurting in the run game without right tackle Trent Brown, who is listed as questionable with a concussion. It’s unlikely Brown will emerge from the concussion protocol to play. Former Seahawk Garry Gilliam is likely to replace Brown.

Other 49ers listed as questionable include linebacker Reuben Foster (ankle, ribs), guard Brandon Fusco (biceps) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (back). However, all of them are expected to play. Fusco draws a tough assignment in the beastly Philly defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, who is second on the team with 3.5 sacks.

The 49ers will also be without pass rusher Aaron Lynch (calf) and cornerback K’Waun Williams (thigh).
