The San Francisco Giants have committed to making sweeping changes across manager Bruce Bochy’s coaching staff.
Longtime pitching coach Dave Righetti has been dismissed from his current role and reassigned to the Giants’ front office, while bench coach Ron Wotus and hitting coach Hensley Meulens are also expected to be reassigned, according to Robert Murray of FanRagSports.

Bullpen coach Mark Gardner is also expected to be reassigned to a new role according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.

Manager Bruce Bochy’s job is safe, but nearly every key figure on his coaching staff will now begin the 2018 season with new responsibilities.
The developments from Saturday morning are stunning, especially considering Righetti has served as the team’s pitching coach since 2000.
