Following Thursday’s preseason finale against the Los Angeles Chargers, the San Francisco 49ers whittled their roster down from 90 players to 53 and now have a preliminary roster set for the start of the regular season.
With a massive number of players hitting the waiver wire or being released around the NFL on Saturday, 49ers’ general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan will have an opportunity to scour the market for late additions to the team.
Though the 49ers’ roster is subject to change, here’s an initial look at who San Francisco kept, and who the 49ers cut to fill out their 53-man roster.
