The Giants’ first-round draft pick in the 2017 draft, Heliot Ramos, went down in a heap on Sunday in a rookie league game after being nailed in the helmet by a fastball. Ramos, 17, was removed from the game but was thankfully able to leave the field under his own power.

This is becoming another unfortunate theme of the 2017 Giants season from hell. Buster Posey was drilled in the helmet by a pitch in the Giants home opener this season. Bradon Belt remains on the disabled list after taking one off the head three weeks ago, as does Joe Panik who sustained a concussion after being tagged in the head on August 13.
