The Golden State Warriors have declined to give a qualifying offer to forward James Michael McAdoo, which will make him an unrestricted free agent when the signing period begins on July 1, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.

The Warriors did the same thing with McAdoo last offseason, eventually re-signing him on a cheaper deal of $980,000. That happening again seems unlikely, as McAdoo wasn’t super productive averaging just 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest last season, and with the amount of other young big men slated to be on Golden State’s roster next year. McAdoo was due $980,000 again before the Warriors decided to decline the offer.
McAdoo was excellent for Golden State in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, recording nine points and five rebounds.
