Draymond ridicules Cleveland fans for harassing his mom

CLEVELAND — In the waning moments of the Warriors’ 118-113 Game 3 stunner Wednesday night, Draymond Green’s mother, Mary Babers-Green, was being antagonized by Cavaliers fans. Eventually, police officers had to intervene.

This is nothing new for Golden State families. A year ago, Steve Kerr’s daughter, Maddy, was elbowed in the head. Other slurs were hurled in the direction of the Kerr family.

When asked about the situation on Thursday, Draymond was not afraid to quickly voice his opinion.

“It happens every year,” Green said. “Fans here are just rude. My mom can hold her own, though, she’s good.”

Babers-Green tweeted Thursday that she isn’t going to hold a grudge, but just like her son, threw a little shade in the direction of Cleveland fans.

In basketball related news, Draymond really wants to close out this series Friday night.

“It would be very satisfying to do that,” Green said. “We’ve obviously won it here before, it’s a great feeling winning on someone else’s floor, celebrating on their floor, celebrating in their locker room, quieting their crowd.”
