49ers visit with former All-Pro cornerback [report]

As previously reported, the 49ers worked out former All-Pro safety Jairus Byrd on Wednesday. But Byrd isn’t the only former All-Pro San Francisco has kicked the tires on in the last few days. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the team also visited with cornerback Leon Hall on Tuesday.

As pointed out Tuesday by our Senior Writer Kevin Jones, the 49ers are looking to address a secondary that is lacking in depth, especially after the release of assumed starting cornerback Tramaine Brock following a domestic violence incident earlier this offseason.

Hall spent the first nine years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, earning second-team All-Pro honors in 2009. He signed a one-year deal with the Giants in 2016 and has snatched 27 interceptions during his 10-year career.

The 49ers still have around $70 million in cap room and plenty of flexibility to make signings as training camp approaches.
