The boys are coming back.
Well, a couple of them at least.
Both Brandon Crawford and Denard Span are expected to be activated from the 10-day disabled list before tonight’s game. Crawford (groin) and Span (shoulder) have both been out since mid-April.
#SFGiants expected to have a two-for tonight. Sounds like Span has shown enough in 2 rehab games to be activated with Crawford.

While it had already been announced the Crawford would return tonight, Span originally was expected to play three games for Class-A San Jose. He went 2-4 against Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday in his second rehab game.
It’s unclear whether Span will bat leadoff should he return for Thursday’s game.
Since the Giants have already sent reliever Reyes Moronta back to Richmond, they will only need to make one roster move to accommodate Span and Crawford. It’s not clear who will be sent down but Kelby Tomlinson, Justin Ruggiano, Gorkys Hernandez or even Michael Morse are options.
The Giants will face the Reds in the first of a seven-game home stand tonight at AT&T. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. as Ty Blach looks to rebound from the worst start of his career. Blach gave up 10 runs and 11 hits in just three innings on Saturday as the Reds trounced the Giants 14-2.
