Melancon hasn’t pitched since May 3rd in Los Angeles, when he picked up his sixth save against the Dodgers. In 11 appearances this season, he has 2.53 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP with two blown saves. Derek Law seems most likely to take over the closing role as he’s been the most consistent set up man for Melancon.
