Just two days after cutting 2015 fourth-round pick RB Mike Davis, the 49ers cut veteran RB DuJuan Harris, the player announced via Twitter on Monday.

Harris, 28, joined the 49ers at the end of 2015, and has bounced around the league with eight teams since signing with the Jaguars in 2011. The 49ers re-signed Harris on March 27 of this year. In limited work last season, Harris posted 138 rushing yards and an additional 115 receiving yards. He also lost two fumbles, which contributed to inconsistent playing time.
The 49ers’ running back depth chart now consists of Carlos Hyde, Tim Hightower, rookie Joe Williams and Kapri Bibbs.
