After adding a wave of draft picks and signing 15 undrafted free agents, the San Francisco 49ers had several cuts to make — and they made 13 of them Tuesday all at once.
In addition, the team signed center Tim Barnes and offensive linemen Brandon Fusco to one-year deals.
Mike Purcell, Shane Skov and Eric Rogers. Purcell latched on as an undrafted free agent in 2013 under Jim Harbaugh. Last season he played in 15 games and had 26 tackles. Skov, the Stanford alum, appeared in nine games last season and had eight tackles. Rogers was one of the first players Chip Kelly signed in 2016 but he tore his ACL in training camp.
The 49ers still haven’t released their official list of undrafted signees. According to Eric Branch’s math, San Francisco is set to have 49 new players on the 90-man roster.
