After Steve Kerr’s announcement Sunday afternoon that his postseason availability is in jeopardy due to health issues, the man standing in between the Warriors and another title sent the ailing coach his regards Monday afternoon.

Via a video posted on Uninterrupted, LeBron James sent his thoughts and prayers to Kerr, wishing him a speedy recovery.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to Steve Kerr, man,” James said. “I’m not quite sure of the illness that he got going on, but anything that’ll keep him away from the game, I know it can’t be the best. So my thoughts and prayers from my family to Steve Kerr and his family, man. I wish you a healthy recovery.

“And whatever that you going through, I hope the man above continue to put his blessing on top of you and the family, man, and you pull through and get back to the sideline and just get back to just being able to be you on a day-to-day basis.”

Kerr missed Game 3 of the first round series vs. the Blazers on Saturday and will also be out for Monday’s Game 4. Kerr said on Sunday that he will not return until he feels better, and did not rule out missing the entire postseason.

Kerr missed 43 games last season due to a spinal fluid leak that arose following two back surgeries, giving him horrible symptoms such as migraines and nausea. Lead assistant Mike Brown will take over coaching duties until Kerr is healthy enough to return.
