Giants left fielder Jarrett Parker appeared to injure his shoulder after making a fantastic running catch in the 4th inning of Saturday’s game against the Colorado Rockies. The inning was already going poorly for the Giants already after Colorado scored three runs thanks to an RBI double by catcher Dustin Garneau and a two-RBI single by center fielder Charlie Blackmon.
Second baseman DJ LeMahieu then scorched a line drive to deep left, but Parker made a great catch on the run and immediately crashed into the wall. Parker went down almost immediately and looked to be in a great deal of pain. Parker walked back into the dugout with trainers and was taken out of the game. Utility man Aaron Hill took over in left field for the injured Parker.
