The San Francisco 49ers have announced the team’s 2017 preseason opponents.
The 49ers will open the preseason on the road as they travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs before returning to Levi’s Stadium to face the Denver Broncos in Week 2. San Francisco will make their first trip to U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota to face the Vikings on NBC’s Sunday Night Football in Week 3 of the preseason. The team will close out preseason play as they host the Los Angeles Chargers at Levi’s Stadium.
CHIEFS
This marks the ninth preseason matchup between the 49ers and Chiefs.
The 49ers lead the overall preseason series record, 6-2.
San Francisco won the last preseason matchup between the two clubs, 15-13, at Kansas City in 2013.
BRONCOS
The 49ers face the Broncos in the preseason for the sixth consecutive season and 39th meeting overall.
The Broncos lead the preseason series, 21-17.
San Francisco defeated Denver last year in the preseason matchup, 31-21.
VIKINGS
This is the ninth overall preseason meeting between the two clubs, with the 49ers winning the most recent contest, 34-14, at Candlestick Park in 2013.

It marks the 49ers first trip to Minnesota’s U.S. Bank Stadium, which opened in 2016.
