Former Stanford outfielder Austin Slater has risen fast through the San Francisco Giants’ organization, spending parts of last season in both AA and AAA. Slater was voted most improved player by teammates and staff of the Sacramento River Cats last season. Slater hit an impressive .381 with nine home runs in the final month of the season.
Slater also hit this towering home run over former Kansas City Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura during spring training last season.
