Aldon Smith of the Oakland Raiders was detained Thursday morning after a car incident with San Francisco police. Ray Woodson weighs in on Smith’s recent circumstance and is worried about more serious repercussions down the road.
Ray Woodson thinks that Smith’s time in the NFL is done. Woodson, more importantly, touched on making sure Aldon Smith is not done as a person, stating, “It’s one thing after another with him, he needs help but he’s got to have to buy in, he is gonna have to want it.”
Aldon Smith has been arrested five times since 2011 and has had several run-ins with the league’s substance abuse policy. Smith has had two incidents this year: he was cited by police then released on suspicion of public intoxication.
The Raiders LB applied for reinstatement back into the NFL. With this latest incident, it is unclear how this will ultimately affect him.
