Dawson, 42, is coming off another strong 2016 with San Francisco, missing just three field goals and an extra point in his 18th NFL season. Dawson became the 10th kicker in league history to make 400 field goals.
Dawson spent four seasons in San Francisco, after spending 14 with the Cleveland Browns. Dawson made a franchise record 23 consecutive field goals during the 2013 season. His 279 games are second most among active kickers and his 85 percent field goal rate is 11th all time and eighth among active kickers.
Dawson made the Pro Bowl in 2012, and is likely to replace Cardinals kicker Chandler Catanzaro.
