OAKLAND – Hearing MVP chants at Oracle arena is nothing new. The Warriors have the current back-to-back MVP in Steph Curry, as well as another player who has won the award in Kevin Durant.
Hearing the chant for an opposing player on the other hand, that’s new.
That was the case Wednesday night for the Warriors. Isaiah Thomas had 25 points, including going 4-for-10 from downtown. Steph Curry responded to hearing the chants:
“Our fans were leaving. We didn’t give them much to cheer about,” Curry said. “We get them in other team’s arenas too, you can’t be sensitive about that.”
Isaiah Thomas also head the chants:

It isn’t the first time that this has happened to Thomas. Just two days before the Celtics win in Oakland, the point guard heard the same chants in Los Angeles.
