Goodwin is the second WR the 49ers are reportedly bringing over to the Bay Area, with reports Wednesday morning stating the team has agreed to a lucrative deal with former Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon.
Goodwin, 26, enjoyed the most productive season of his four-year career with the Bills last season, setting career highs with 29 receptions, 431 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Goodwin is an exceptional athlete, and participated in the 2012 Olympic Games where he placed 10th in the long jump. Goodwin also once ran the 100-meter dash in 10.24 seconds, and ran a 4.27 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
Despite being the size of a slot receiver at 5′ 9″, 179 lbs, Goodwin ran just 55 of his 390 routes from the slot last season according to Pro Football Focus.
