Matt Cain climbs through press box window to get to interview

SCOTTSDALE – Matt Cain will likely go down as an all-time great San Francisco Giant.

Entering the 2017 season, one in which Cain is battling for the fifth and final spot in the starting rotation, the righty has started over 300 games and logged just under 2000 innings pitched.

When you’ve played with one organization that long, you become comfortable around the facilities, including those on the spring training grounds. And as the video at the top of the post shows…sometimes you climb through the press box window to get to your interview.

Cain climbed through the window for his guys from The Audible on KNBR 1050, which airs weekdays 6am-9am. During his interview, he had high praise for the Giants’ top minor-league prospect, pitcher Tyler Beede.
