OAKLAND – JaVale McGee had another productive performance Wednesday night against Chicago, scoring 13 points and 6 rebounds as a starter in wake of Zaza Pachulia’s injury. However, he also took a nasty spill after contesting a Robin Lopez lay-up and went into the locker room following the play.

After the game Kerr was asked about JaVale’s injury, and explained what his center told him.

“I asked him how he’s doing, he said he landed on his butt. I said ‘What’s the prognosis?’ and he said ‘Well both cheeks really hurt.’”

Kerr added that JaVale McGee is fine, but joked the team will check the cheeks individually Thursday and see how JaVale progresses.
