New 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan continues to waste no time in rounding out his coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball. Shanahan will add fellow Falcons assistant coach Bobby Turner as his running backs coach, according to Gil Brandt of NFL.com.

Turner, 67, has been a running backs coach in the NFL since 1995, and worked with Kyle’s dad Mike for 15 seasons. The Falcons are allowing Turner to leave his position with the team, according to Brandt.
Tom Rathman has been the 49ers running backs coach since 2009, and according to Matt Maiocco, Shanahan wants to keep Rathman on the staff in some capacity. It is unclear at this point exactly what his role will be.
Shanahan is also set to hire Wagner (Division I FCS) offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello as the 49ers’ quarterbacks coach according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Falcons offensive assistant Mike McDaniel will apparently join the staff as wel,l and help with the running backs.
The plan for #49ers coach Kyle Shanahan is to have QB coach Rich Scangarello, run-game guru Mike McDaniel…and coordinate the offense himself

Scangarello served as Falcons quality control assistant in 2015, before taking the OC position at Wagner.
