The Golden State Warriors have confirmed a report from TMZ that executive board member Jerry West was hospitalized on Tuesday after collapsing at a Los Angeles Country Club.
Paramedics were called to the scene to transport West to a nearby hospital via ambulance according to the report. West was still in the hospital on Wednesday morning undergoing tests, but has returned home.
“He’s at home and doing well,” said Warriors spokesman Raymond Ridder told CSNBayArea after speaking with West’s wife, Karen.
Steve Kerr also said West is doing fine after texting with West’s son Johnny.
“Johnnie said his Dad is doing well,” Steve Kerr told the San Jose Mercury News. “That’s great news. We don’t have any details except that he’s doing fine.”
West has been a front office executive with the Warriors since 2011, and is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
