OAKLAND — The Warriors got back to their winning ways Saturday night at Oracle Arena, providing fans in attendance with a well-balanced performance in a 138-109 victory over the Phoenix Suns.

Klay Thompson was as on fire from three-point territory as he has been all season, finishing with 26 points and a 6/7 clip on made threes. Steph Curry was right alongside his teammate, scoring 31 points on a 5/7 percentage from downtown.

But this was a total team effort, on offense and defense, for Golden State’s third win over the Suns this season. It was a total domination from start to finish.

A swift sequence in the second quarter defined what Kevin Durant’s tenure has been like so far in the Bay Area. He swatted Alex Len underneath the basket, stared him down, and then raced to the other end to hit a gorgeous tip-toeing runner in the lane. Draymond Green stood up from his seat on the bench and clapped. Durant finished with 20 points, 8 assists and made all 9 of his free throws Green added 9 points, 13 assists and 5 rebounds.

The Warriors hit their first 6 three-pointers from the field and shot a ridiculous 66.7 percent from downtown, drilling 14 of the 21 jump shots. Thompson, Curry and Durant combined to score 77 points on 39 shots. Nobody can beat this team when they go unconscious with their shooting.

Both JaVale McGee and David West packed a punch off the bench. McGee scored 7 points in the first quarter and finished a gorgeous lob from Green; West scored 8 points in the second, using both a deep jump-shot and power moves down low. Zaza Pachulia was also playing well, and finished an acrobatic bank shot to start the third quarter. Pachulia finished with 7 points and 3 rebounds in 14 minutes.

Prior to tip-off, the Warriors held a moment of silence for the victims impacted by a tragic warehouse fire just three miles away from Oracle Arena. Nine are already confirmed dead, and it’s feared the death toll could rise to 40. The Warriors will donate $50,000 in an effort to support the families of the victims.

The Warriors will host the Pacers Monday before heading to Los Angeles to face the Clippers on Wednesday.
