OAKLAND — The beautiful brand of basketball the Warriors have built their foundation upon the last three seasons was evident all night Saturday, in a 138-109 blowout win over the Suns.
Steph Curry especially was the star of some of those retro moments, scoring 31 points on 5/7 shooting from downtown.
On one sequence, Kevin Durant came up with a huge block, dished an outlet pass to Klay Thompson, who found a streaking Draymond Green, who whizzed a pass to Curry in the corner. A whopping 20 of those points came in the third quarter.
Steph buried the three and during the process unveiled a new three-point celebration: Bowing. Rob Perez has the vine below.
This wasn’t just a one-time thing. Curry bowed multiple times Saturday. Let’s hope this little moment of showboating continues from the back-to-back MVP. It’s part of what makes watching the Warriors entertaining as hell.
Curry clarified it was more of a “body English” thing he picked up from Paul Pierce throughout the years. He also uses the body English on the golf course, too.
