Though mostly known for providing comic relief on the court throughout his career, Warriors reserve center JaVale McGee is apparently making a habit of cracking up his new teammates off of it.
Ian Clark said today at Warriors shootaround that he likes hanging out with McGee because he’s a funny guy, and that he has been providing a comedic element in the locker room that has been much needed.
“To interact with him is an experience in itself,” Clark said. “He’s a character. He loves to joke around, but he knows when it’s time to buckle down and get to business. He definitely gives us that comedy in the locker room that we’ve missed coming from the guys like (Leandro Barbosa) and (Brandon) Rush that left last year.”
When asked about the funnest thing he’s done, Clark couldn’t keep the smile off his face when describing McGee’s antics on the team plane last night.
“Last night he was talking on the intercom like a stewardess,” Clark chuckled. “It was kind’ve funny…He was talking about the exits.”
