The Giants signed former Royals shortstop Orlando Calixte, former Nationals first baseman Chris Marrero and left-handed pitcher Kraig Sitton to minor league deals on Monday.

Calixte, 24, a native of the Dominican Republic, had been part of the Royals organization since he was 18 years old. Calixte put up decent minor league numbers in 2015, going .274/.324/.420 including 11 home runs and 19 stolen bases. Calixte was called up to the majors for the first time in his young career for two games at the end of the season.

Marrero, 28, last saw time in the big leagues in 2011, getting 117 plate appearances with the Washington Nationals and was once ranked the 27th best prospect in all of baseball. Marrero has bounced around the minors ever since but put up terrific numbers last year with the Red Sox Triple-A affiliate, smacking 23 home runs and posting a .838 OPS.

Sitton, 28, is also coming off a stellar 2016 campaign in Triple-A with the Seattle Mariners’ affiliate, posting a 2.93 ERA in 34 relief appearances.
