Giants catcher Buster Posey can add another award to his trophy case.

Posey won his first Gold Glove on Tuesday and became the third Giants catcher to win the award. Kirt Manwaring (1993) and Mike Matheny (2005) were the two others. Posey ended Yadier Molina’s streak of eight consecutive Gold Gloves. The 29-year-old set career highs in caught stealing rate (37 percent) and games caught (123).

Joe Panik and Brandon Crawford joined Posey to become the first Giants trio to win the award since 1994 — Matt Williams (third base) Barry Bonds (outfield) and Darren Lewis (outfield).

The last teammate shortstop and second basemen who won the award together were Edgar Renteria and Fernando Viña in 2002. Giants fans have used the hashtag #Crawnik when the pair turns double plays. It was Crawford’s second straight Gold Glove win. It was Panik’s first defensive award.
