The Warriors are off to what some fans and critics are calling “a slow start.”
Kevin Frandsen, however, isn’t ready to make that type of quick reaction yet, especially considering all of the new pieces for the Dubs this season.
“At what point are we going to start just enjoying the Warriors season?” Frandsen wondered. “Look we can all expect them to win every game and go 82-0, but it’s not gonna happen.”
Frandsen goes on to address what others deem ‘a poor start’ by chalking it up to a lack of experience as a team. Considering the amount of playing time through the first three games for Zaza Pachulia, David West, Kevin Durant and Patrick McCaw, all players who were not in the Bay Area last season, it seems reasonable that the defending champs in the Western Conference would be given a little wiggle room before people start condemning all of their flaws.
Not so for the team some wanted to label “the greatest team in NBA history” before they even stepped on a basketball court together in the same uniform. Frandsen, however, urged fans to remember what the ultimate prize truly is.
“Who cares about winning and losing in the regular season?” Frandsen reminded fans. “All that matters is the NBA title at the end of the year.”
We’re pretty sure everyone in the 73-win Warriors organization last season would agree.
