With all the negativity swirling around, it’s nice to be able to pass a positive story along every once in a while.
Veteran NBA reporter Craig Sager received some good news Wednesday, when he was released after spending 85 consecutive days in the hospital, battling leukemia that returned in March of 2016. His daughter made the announcement via Twitter.
My dad just called to say congrats on the @Indians & to tell me after 85 days, he’s officially out of the hospital! What a day…

Sagar is a beloved figure throughout NBA circles, and has been shown support throughout the league from coaches and players since being diagnosed with the disease in 2014. Golden State’s own Stephen Curry gave the broadcaster his support and a heartfelt message when being interviewed by Sagar last season.
A diehard Cubs fan, it was a fitting for Sagar to be released from the hospital just in time to watch Chicago’s Game 4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers with his family.
It’s fitting the @Cubs get their mojo back the same night my dad checks out from the hospital #SagerStrong #FlyTheW pic.twitter.com/dEhVNO3zLl
