Despite being the two time reigning MVP, Stephen Curry is currently the fourth highest paid player on the Golden State Warriors.
That certainly won’t be the case next year, when Curry’s current contract expires. Though we don’t know how much the salary cap will jump next offseason, ESPN’s Marc Stein is reporting that Curry is estimated to earn a five-year $165 million dollar max contract next year, after consulting with salary cap expert Larry Coon.
After consulting the wise @LarryCoon, @espn‘s new latest estimate for the Steph Curry max next summer is a five-year, $165 million deal.

That averages out to $33 million per season, which would make Curry the highest paid player in the league, not taking into account other potential max deals next offseason.
Kevin Durant is another player who will be in line for a huge max contact, should he waive his player option at the end of this season.
